Rebelious Klothing a label that was founded by Nkululeko Ncube a fashion designer who has been designing for over two years and has been worked extensively to showcase his art.
Rebelious Klothing has dressed the reality program host for Zimbabwe Ine Styra, Mbo Mahocs for the Jewel Magazine Cover, and showcased his designs at the Design Indaba. We sat down with the talented designer to find out more of his inspiration and how he goes through his design process.
We asked him how he got in to fashion and he says it was by coincidence that as a young man he wished to go into Graphic Design and when he was looking for a local college to study Graphic Designing he was failed to find an institution that offered a comprehensive course he would be interested in and was then told of Fashion Design and how it was similar to Graphic Design. He says he reluctantly enrolled and the love of fashion grew from there.
Nkululeko attributes his inspiration of his design from the everyday man and woman also life in general. Hip-hop Couture As to the name of his fashion label as rebellious, he aims to move away from the normal and the stereotypes of fashion and clothing, thus Rebelious Klothing. A fashion brand that designs Street Wear, Street Couture and Hip-hop Couture with a with a twist to the normal ideas of how to dress. The brand is currently just working on tailor made out its for its clients and is working on a wider distribution of the designs in Zimbabwe and Africa at large.
