Jah Prayzah the multi-award-winning Zimbabwean musician has made a name for himself with many amazing collaborations. Here are our 3 top Jah Prayzah collaborations.
Jah Prayzah is a Zimbabwean contemporary musician and lead member of the band Third Generation. With a string of local and regional hits songs Jah Prayzah has managed to win multiple awards such as MTV African Music Award 2016 – Listener’s Choice Award, five Zimbabwean National Arts Merit Awards to mention a few.
Jah Prayzah ft Davido – My Lilly
The Jah Prayzah and Davido collaboration is one of my favorite collaborations, as it saw two different musical styles fuse to make an amazing song like this. Davido is a multi-award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. The My Lilly collaboration saw both the musicians fuse their talents in the music production. The instrumental of the song was cool mellow, and rhythmic. The magic in the song comes from the saxophone that gives the My Lilly song its timeless feel.
Jah Prayzah Ft. Diamond Platnumz – Watora Mar
Watora Mari is my number two Jah Prayzah collaborations which saw him collaborate with Diamond Platnumz. Diamond Platnumz is a multi-award-winning Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist and dancer from Tanzania. The Watora Mari culminated in Jah Prayzah and Diamond Platnumz having a sold out show in Harare, Zimbabwe. The unique touch about the song was the fact that Diamond Platnumz sang parts of the Watora Mari song in Shona. Shona one of Zimbabwe’s three main languages which shares common words, and pronunciations with Swahili, Tanzania’s main language. What is there not to love about the song, this is an amazing collaboration from Jah Prayzah.
Jah Prayzah ft Patoranking – Follow me
This collaboration between Jah Prayzah and Patoranking for me is when Jah Prayzah showed his musical versatility. The collaboration fused two very different music genres and Jah Prayzah rose to the occasion with his adaptability and his musical talents showed in the Follow Me collaboration. Patoranking a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter. He hails from Onicha in Ebonyi State and was born and raised in Ijegun-Egba. The key ingredient to this amazing song was Jah Prayzah himself proving he is a versatile musician with this collaboration.
